"The grin says it all",
explains Thomas Burgess of Saint Petersburg, FL when he
sent this photo of him kneeling by his Pantera 50 and then goes on
to say, "What a great flying helicopter!"

Indianapolis' BJ Nichols says, "I had Canopy FX apply
this super creative paint scheme to the canopy of my Tiger
50 because it's both highly visible and fits in with the
name." We think it looks grrrreat!

From Cranbrook, BC comes this great photo of Shayne Hoecherl
lifting off his T50 against the spectacular backdrop of
the Canadian Rockies! By the way, Shayne volunteers with
search and rescue forces of British Columbia and is involved with
full scale helicopters as well.

Check out the subtle orange/yellow fade scheme on
Michael Cecil's Tiger 50 canopy and fins! This is but one of
many photos we receive where fellows ditch the supplied decals in
favor of spray paint. All we can say is this is one classy
paint job!

Taylor Collins concentrates on close-quarters hovering in his
backyard. The training gear equipped Tiger 50 is even
more stable than usual because of the resulting lowered CG (center
of gravity). Notice how the sharp looking paint scheme he's
applied to personalize his model simply flows from the windscreen -
sweet!

Nakia James chose the Funkey-brand Hughes 500 fuselage to
transform his Pantera 50 because, as he explains,
"The mechanics are so versatile I can upgrade the engine
later to a big block OS70 for a better power-to-weight ratio.
Also, I like the fact there's a place to mount a needle-valve
control servo molded right into the side frame because it
makes adjusting the fuel mixture in the air easy." She
looks sweet Nakia, good job!

Randy Wallace used off-the-shelf Rustoleum-brand spray paint on
his Tiger 50 canopy, "Both because it's expressly made for
painting plastic and it's easy to customize the sleek looking
canopy", he explains.

When he's off duty as Chief Engineer aboard the private motor
yatch Northern Light (inset), Maurice Blier flies his Tiger
50. "I selected her because I appreciate fine
quality machinery." he explains, and goes on to say, "My
Tiger 50 is quite the world traveler too. I've had her in
many parts of the world like Capri, Positano, and Sarento in
the Mediteranean as well as all over the Carribean."
He also says, "I fly her all the time because she's
fun, draws attention, and is both smooth and easy to
handle." We couldn't say it any better
Maurice!

Ever the artist, Jeffrey Stairs of Wallingford, CT lives to
march to the beat of a different drummer. Sporting an
incredibly wild looking green-flame paint job, the canopy
of his Tiger 50 can never be mistaken for that of anybody
else. We stand in awe of the effort and all we can say is . .
. WOW!

Rogelio Applewhite of Brooklyn, NY looks on a little nervously
as his friend Eaton test flies his Tiger 50, but there was nothing
to fear because the ship flew flawlessly!

Opting to keep things simple, Dan Pope of Luverne, AL painted
the FRP (fiber reinforced plastic - AKA fiberglass) canopy of his
Tiger 50 a bright red. Then he finished trimming her out by
applying some of the standard decals, and as simply as that he
had a unique appearing model.

Wearing his trademark grin, Billy Hemple of Tucson, AZ is best
known for his giant scale activities. "Believe it or not,
I fly model helicopters to keep sharp with the big birds!" he
says, and continues with, "I prefer the Pantera 50 because it's
precise in the air - more like an airplane actually - because
unlike some others I've flown, the Pantera doesn't zoom or
tuck in high speed flight, it just tracks true. Billy
goes on to explain, "My family owns the Hobby Barn so
I can fly any model on the market, but I picked the Pantera
because I didn't want a complex and time consuming to repair and
maintain carbon fiber heli. To be blunt, I need to
devote nearly all my time to my business, so for me, the
Pantera's rugged engineering-plastic construction is something of a
no brainer. After looking over the field, and flying
everything available, the Pantera stood head and shoulders above
the rest in my eyes because of its very simple design and honest
flying characteristics."

Standing behind the counter at Spratt's Trading Post, Thomas
Spence of Hillsdale, MI poses with his Pantera 50. An
enthusiastic modeler, Thomas has even made some custom aluminum
parts for his Pantera to include a great looking hex-design head
button for the optional PDR0045 aluminum rotor head block.
Presently, he's trying to figure out how to stuff a .91
four-stroke into his Pantera . . . and knowing him, he'll
succeed too because he doesn't know the meaning of the word
quit!

Jacques Maries of Pardubice, Czech Republic believes
in keeping it simple because he painted the canopy of his Pantera
50 in classic black! In case you're not familiar with it,
Pardubice is an important industrial city (founded in 1340), which
lies about 60 miles east of Prague.

Jason Dorie of Petaluma, CA fuels his custom painted Tiger 50
before launching her into another flight.

Jim Van Skoyk of Tucson, AZ painted his Tiger 50 canopy in red
and black then used some of the stock decals to finish trimming her
out and ended up with quite a classy looking model.

Kneeling behind his Pantera 50 just before another flight, Nick
Crego of Ankeny, IA poses with quiet pride as behind him, a John
Deere harvester at work in the business of feeding the nation, goes
at it. What a beautiful flying site!
